49er Federal Credit Union will be closed on January 1st, 2009 for new years day.

49er Federal Credit Union is a member-owned financial institution with over $43 million in assets and more than 4,500 members.  We are one of the few federally chartered Credit Unions in El Dorado County and the only Credit Union that is locally owned.   Located at 225 Placerville Drive , in the beautiful foothills of Placerville California .

       49er Federal Credit Union is now implementing our home banking product called VIRTUAL BRANCH.  With virtual branch you are able to make in house transfers, view all account history including copies of checks and pay your bills.  If you are interested in signing up for this free product, please complete the Virtual Branch Application  (need adobe acrobat) and mail or drop off your application to the Credit Union.

Share Insurance Update!
The new law became effective on October 3, 2008, and will remain in place through December 31, 2009. The law provides for an increase in the minimum NCUSIF coverage from $100,000 to $250,000 on member share accounts. This includes all account types, such as regular share, share draft, money market, and certificates of deposit. Individual Retirement Account and Keogh account coverage remains at up to $250,000 separate from other types of accounts owned.
