Who We Are:

49er Federal Credit Union is a member-owned
financial institution with over $43 million in assets
and more than 4,500 members.  We are one of the
few federally chartered Credit Unions in El Dorado County and the only Credit Union that is locally
owned.   Located at 225 Placerville Drive, in the
beautiful foothills of Placerville California. 49er
Federal Credit Union offers a full range of low-cost
or no-cost products and services:

Our History:

49er Federal Credit Union was chartered on January
31, 1964 as El Dorado County Federal Credit Union serving employees who worked for the County of El Dorado in the state of California, and members of
their immediate families.

On November 7, 1984, the credit union's name was changed to 49er Federal Credit Union, signifying a
change in our charter to include several local
organizations and businesses.

The National Credit Union Administration granted
49er FCU a community charter on June 8, 1999,
allowing us to serve all of El Dorado County. We
now serve the residents who live, work, attend
school and worship in El Dorado County.
